Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to purchases of Tangleroot Pro, the paid edition of the Tangleroot Dependency Mapper WordPress plugin. Tangleroot Lite is free and nothing in this policy applies to it.

1. Paddle is the seller

All Pro purchases are billed and fulfilled by Paddle.com, which acts as the merchant of record and reseller for every order. Your receipt and all billing communications come from Paddle, and Paddle processes refunds on our behalf once we approve a request.

2. Money-back guarantee

If you’re not satisfied with Tangleroot Pro, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your original purchase, no questions asked. This guarantee applies to your first purchase of a given subscription; it does not reset with each renewal.

3. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled beforehand. If a renewal charge was made in error or you canceled but were still charged, contact us within 14 days of the renewal and we will refund it. Outside of that, renewal charges are generally non-refundable once the new subscription period has started, except as required by law.

4. How to request a refund

Email support@tanglerootmapper.com with the email address or order/receipt number used for your purchase. You can also use the refund link on your Paddle receipt email. We aim to respond within 2 business days, and approved refunds are typically returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

5. Cancellations

You can cancel your subscription at any time, free of charge, using the “manage subscription” link in your Paddle receipt or confirmation email, or by emailing support@tanglerootmapper.com. Canceling stops future renewals. Pro access is deactivated immediately on cancellation rather than continuing until the end of the paid period, so if you’d like to keep Pro features active until your current term ends, let us know and cancel closer to your renewal date instead.

6. Downgrading your site count

If you need fewer licensed sites than your current plan, contact us and we’ll move you to a smaller tier starting at your next renewal; we don’t prorate or refund the difference mid-term.

7. Chargebacks

Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank — we’re happy to resolve billing issues directly, and it’s faster than a chargeback. A license is deactivated immediately if its payment is charged back.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
